There
is a fee to get into the park, $4-$5 per vehicle
·
If
enough are interested we can organize a cook out/picnic for the team and
families after the race. They have great
pavilions and grills next to the water along the race course. Last year we had hot dogs and whatever dish
people brought to share. Let me, Mary
Babinec, know if you would be interested in participating and what food you
would like to bring.

October 20, Al Lopez Park, Tampa Race
time: 5 PM FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORES

This
is a very fun meet also, however very crowded parking wise! Getting a parking spot and then trying to
leave can be frustrating.
·
If
the Freshman & Sophomore Families would like to have a ‘sub-sandwich’
picnic at the park that would work out very well and is fun.
·
Is
there a parent from the Freshman or Sophomore runners that would like to
volunteer to organize this? (my son is a
senior and I may not be attending this)

COUNTY
CHAMPIONSHIP (all teams in the county)

There is a fee to get into the park, $5-$6
·
Traffic is horrendous getting out of this park.
·
It finishes late, and waiting on the awards is a
time lag after race. We eat at this
time.
·
The fast food restaurants nearby are packed with
teams stopping for dinner.
·
There are picnic tables and grills. We have a team awning that will be set up and
can be used for rain.
·
Last year we did this and it was a lot of fun
grilling food and having a pot luck.
·

interested in participating and what food you would like to bring.
